Independence Day Parade

I went to the parade in Oceanside on July 1st. I just thought this was a pretty cool picture. These guys (and a few gals) are local firefighters who have a bagpipe and drum corps. Check out the axe the front dude is carrying.

On the political soapbox, I wish the flag was not as co-opted by the jingoists as it is now... Sane people have a right to it as well! ...and keep the damn politicians out of the parade. I booed when Issa went by. He is just as big a crook as Duke.
