Check me out! Hot 100 Game Devs!
Not sure how they got me on this list, but it is still pretty cool. I keep good company... like my good pal Miyamoto-san... I wish.

EQ gets a star...
...on the Walk of Game. This is like the nerd version of the Hollywood Walk of Fame. It's at the Metreon in San Francisco.
The EverQuest star is on a little narrow walkway that just seems to exist as a place to put stars.
What would EQ be without Firiona and Antonia?
Sid Meier and John Carmack also got stars this year, but I didn't get to meet them. Oh well.

Changes to Petco Don't Affect My Seats.
Good news for me. Hopefully better news for the Padres. With the deepest part of Petco going away, they will have no more excuses and should be swatting the ball out left and right. The wall they are moving is the one right in front of "The Beach." So rather than that corner being 411ft, it is knocked down to 400ft. Now the deepest parts of the park are just to the left and right of the batter's eye and measure 402ft.

Art~o~mat Visited
So I went to OMA today and sure enough, they have an Art~o~mat! I am not too crazy about the art I selected. It is by Sonja Ljubinkovic...
...She's kinda hot... and a dissident... maybe it's not so bad after all...
She's so my new art rebel girlfriend!
This is what it looks like right out of the machine. There is a cellophane ring taped around the box from top to bottom. The box says "Time Capsule by Sonja L."
This is what was inside. Flower petals encased in lucite with a quote from Aristotle. The slip of paper has a bunch of jibba jabba that I don't have the patience to read. As is, it is pretty lame. It might look nice if it was mounted in a nice little shadow box, but that isn't going to happen. You can smell the flowers through the lucite. They smell perty.

Art~o~mat
The interwebs is neato. I found these through the action figure site. They are refurbished cigarette machines that now dispense art. The guy who builds those action figures is one of the artists that takes part in this project. There are 82 of these machines around the world. And get this... this very machine is at the Oceanside Museum of Art two blocks from my house!
